Yes! for projects local to Orange County, CA we can provide both general contracting and consulting services. For projects located nationwide we offer private 1:1 consulting along with resources to build out your entire healthy home design and build team.

Can you work with our existing architect?

We are very familiar with working with many different type of design teams and builders. From the builder in the business for 20 years and this is his first time learning about healthier home building practices to top notice Passive Home certified architects. The only requirement needed of existing team members is that they have a collaborative spirit for us all to meet your expectations.

How are you different from traditional contractors?

The short answer would be that we infuse quality control into everything we do. Whether our crew are the ones swinging the hammer, or if we are in a consulting capacity. Home building today requires far more than meeting the minimum building code standards and a local city inspector. We go beyond minimum standards and layer in data and third-party verification that provides peace of mind to our clients that their expectations are met.

A healthy home goes far beyond visual design or energy efficiency — it's about the unseen details that protect your family's long-term health. At Holistic Homes, we integrate principles of building science and wellness design into every step of construction: airtight but breathable wall systems, moisture and mold control, toxin-free materials, and balanced ventilation.

Does building a healthy home increase the cost of my project?

That's going to depend on what your baseline costs are. If the anticipated project pricing already includes robust building details and leak management strategies than you may not see much of an increase. If your project doesn't yet include those items or other construction details to result in a healthy home it could be likely you'll see an increase.
